Sleepy Trains

Sleepy Trains

A Poem by Roberta
"

Just a little cute poem ^.^

"
Sleepy people, on a sleepy train
With faces pressed against a window pane

Sleep induced smiles, and warming hugs,
Whilst their sleepy train just chugs and chugs.

Dreams of home, and lands afar,
or wishing that one had taken the car.

Yet the sleepy train just carries on,
into the night, and into the dawn.

Leaving behind cities and towns,
with its jolts and bumps causing frowns.

And in the morn, when the sun does arise,
the blackness will be replaced with blue skies.

And the little train won't be sleepy too soon,
until out pops the dark, and the sun and the moon.

Where I live, we have lots of passenger trains :) I always see them when I am on the bus on the way back from work. Tehe.

This really is cute. I'm afraid passenger trains are pretty much a thing of the past. I think that's a pity when I read your poem.
