Clasped tight.

Clasped tight.

A Poem by Roberta

It sliced through me and slit every vein.
The pain, the pain of losing you.
I blamed myself, for letting you go again.
It was my fault, that, I know is true.

The. One. Thing.

That I wanted more than any other,

Was for you. You, to run back, and hold me.
The way you used to.
I just gave up, just let it be.
I screamed in angst, no idea what to do.

But then.
By pure luck.
When I was at my worst.

You came back.

Forgave.

Comforted.

Loved.

And you clasped me to your chest.

So
Tight.

Roberta
An odd rhyming scheme, and I am a little rusty due to lack of writing, but writing is all about experimenting, right? : )
