The Savior(5)

The Savior(5)

A Poem by Batty_E

A punch in the gut|A kick in the ribs|A sock in the neck|A constant fight|Moving forward slowly, o’ so slowly|Then two punches in the face|No couldn’t be, this fight is an army against one|But one second, just one where our eyes meet|A twist|A turn or two|You get my kiss|My brand|Then no more|On my own|I see I fail now|Captured by your eyes|Captured by the zombie army|Bruised and fractured bones everywhere|Head slung forward|Wrists held apart and afar|Their grip so weak|I cannot move though|The silence is deafening|But a feeling|It tells me to raise my head|You stand there, just there|No jumping or screaming|Just standing there|Peering into my eyes|No longer numb|I feel the pain|And I rage|I take your hand held out|And we fight the darkness|Just two balls of gas glowing in the darkness|The war never ends|But your presense brings relief|Light has been given|Little as it is|It helps|.
