Tough Love

Tears come rolling down her cheeks
Her eyes the color of crimson
Her breathing is getting heavier and heavier
She is losing
The game of life
She is losing potentially everyone she loves
Her feelings are jumbled up
She doesn't know what to do
She keeps crying
As her way to get through
Loving is difficult
Heart is mourning
Everytime she leaves him
She dies more inside
The feeling of being judged hurts her
The feeling of being hurt kills her more
She tries to love
But ends up messing up
She can lose him forever
And she doesn't want that
She loves him
More than anything
Her love is unconditional
Her love is for him

hello Lauren the Awesome! i always enjoy reading your stuff, and thank you for sharing :)

i really like the lines in this poem, "She keeps crying/ As her way to get through" and also the lines "She tries to love/ But ends of messing up." i like these because it really shows how hard she's trying and that she has good intentions and is doing her best, but sadly things don't turn out the way she intended (hence, tough love). it's honest, and sincere, and unfortunately sad too. all things i know to well too. great poem, Lauren!

This poem engaged my attention far more than I would have liked..

These lines here, deeply resonated with me.. Going through a phase of life when you know you're losing everything you love is hard indeed..
