ANXIOUS MINDA Poem by Basu Guptaa tribute to my friend..
I remember that day
Which still shakes my head, My feet starts trembling And I go insane and mad..... I desired to be an engineer With my dreams over the edge Unfortunately my family pushed me somewhere else Saying,"that's not right young lad...'' Nightmares are very dreadful With a common theme of a man in chains More correctly he's a boy in uniform Who killed his aspiration just for his surname.... Longed for sympathy I consulted my friends But they appeared more sophisticated Whose comments and advises didn't end..... So, today I don't want an admiration With a fear of being exposed Burnt my ambition within Alone I stood, Yet I'm forced.... Living my life as a debt Because I've some duties to take
Buried my wants inside Just for my parents sake...... © 2013 Basu GuptaAuthor's Note
