Waiting for the Reply

Looking for something to notice,

Watching for something to see,

Hoping for something to happen,

Planning for all that could be,

Searching for someone to discover,

Testing out something to try,

Asking for some kind of answer,

And waiting for the reply.

 

Wandering about for the motion,

Speaking for the sound of a voice,

Sighing for the taste of relief in a breath,

Rethinking the simpler choice,

Calming my heart from the beating,

Checking the clouds in the sky,

Closing my eyes for a moment,

While waiting for the reply.

 

Seeking a rhyme or a reason,

Wondering what if and how,

Questioning my choice of words,

Wishing that I could know now,

Fighting the silence and darkness,

Resisting the urge to comply,

Begging the candle to burn on,

Still waiting for the reply.

I think you could do better than this, it need a little fine tuning....Good all the same
