The Book Of The Dead

The Book Of The Dead

A Poem by B A S S E M A S H R A F

Its still hard to breathe in the smoke and in the haze
I can feel my heart beats, I'm lost in a maze
thinking at nights, working in the days
I should have pleased the gods, by what I had to pay

but now I'm trapped I'm cursed, scarabs are upon my face
eyes are spying on me and every move I trace
skeletons and mummies are all over the place
I tried to run and hide, they've just started the chase

I'm lost in the pyramid
I've nothing but the book of the dead
trapped till the end of the time
and the curse will spread
as I had read... from the book of the dead
from the book of the dead
