The Things I Used To Have

The Things I Used To Have

A Poem by B A S S E M A S H R A F

I remember when I was eight

life was simple, love was free

I remember a girl I knew

she gave me a kiss on my cheek

she trembeled and said ''I love u''

''I wont marry but you''

But I broke her heart, walked away

now I regret, I wish I stayed

There were things I used to have

I miss the things I used to have

The things I used to have

I remember when I was young

before I lie I hold my tongue

I miss the hugs of my mother

after nightmares that used to bother

still I feel like a child

in a huge sea, no where to hide

a sea of lost things I used to have

sea of no shores, a room with no doors

There were things I used to have

I miss the things I used to have

The things i used to have
