Remembering the ViolinistA Poem by James HorsleyA lazy afternoon poem.I remember you, Joshua Bell- if that is your name It’s escaped me now, exactly who you are, and what you do but I remember your name Montero and Ma, I remember completely- the pianist and cellist respectively But my recollection of you, Mr. Bell, is a bit cloudier But then, I, a chronic misplacer of keys, a habitual pen loser, an appointment forgetter, and altogether something of a scatterbrained soul, do well to remember little things from one day and to the next I know you I’ve heard of you On some afternoon public-radio broadcast, I am sure Soon I may recall your trade, your work Until then, Mr. Bell, your name shall have to suffice © 2009 James HorsleyReviews
