Three Dollar W***e

Three Dollar W***e

A Poem by Andrew Br

A heavy breathing of turbines and tin reels invade my dormant psyche. A choir of visual sounds that blink and flutter beneath the shrouded life of existence and perception. I stand  next to you and feel your presence, but cant see your physical being. I can only see the shadow of space where you once stood. A silent film of symbiotic still frames. A continuous reel of twin and triplet images that never move. Sit still and resemble your own shadow. The tapestry nailed to the undersides of your soles. Look and realize that your soul and your essence will never leave your side. Mine has parted from me. The moment I entered your vicinity was the same moment that my darkened angel left me. His job was finished and he had fulfilled his duties to me. There was no longer a need for protection. My heart is bare before you and my soul parades itself around like a three dollar w***e beckoning to you as the night beckons dancing.

I loved what you painted but I felt there were too many stop starts like it needed to flow more but maybe that was your intention in the form you chose....however I would go back and inject a little more grit and play with the form because I think you have something here. Thanks for sharing.

Not sure what to say. Lost something in my own translation I think.

"I can only see the shadow of space where you once stood. A silent film of symbiotic still frames." -- These lines took me away.

You have some really nice imagery in here; i'm not sure if the formatting helped, but it was enough to keep me reading. Well done.
