Shadows & Dust

Shadows & Dust

A Poem by BarryL
"

Anonymity and the masks we wear

"
The ephemera of each face we wear
Is cast off in the fullness of time;
Mannequin-like they lie strewn,
As jetsam is upon the shore,
Awaiting the scavengers who converge at low-tide
To sift through the detritus of our abandoned lives.
