What will the future hold!

What will the future hold!

A Poem by Barnstein

On the day I was born!
I set my first footsteps, along the road with my name upon it.
For a time it seem to pass slowly!
As I wandered through childhood years.
Moving to a teenager brought a world of wonder mixed with anxiety of youth.
I discovered the joys of education and decided to spend my life walking the halls of knowledge.
I wanted to share my excitement of the world out there.
Along my road I passed many signs!
Married, raised a family and climbed the stairs to promotion.
The time has come for the next journey!
No longer will I walk the halls of knowledge!
Where my road will go, who knows!
Maybe I will climb a mountain!
See the Northern Lights!
Swim with a dolphin!
Gaze into the eyes of an Orangutan.
Party into the early hours as I once did in my teenage years.
Lie in and enjoy the silence, no more bells to set my watch to.
Time can pass at a  more leisurely pace.
Whilst I enjoy the new adventures that life will bring.
