Mountains Rugged

Mountains Rugged

A Poem by Barnstein

Mountains rugged, course, sharpe, black with volcanic action
Sandstone, exposed, worn, granular, running through your toes
Sunshine strong, rays lick at the skin, intensified by strong winds
Beauty beheld, contrasts of raw ruggedness against green palms
Flowers colourful, scent rich and vibrant
Cultures meet, collide, inspire the architecture of time
Hidden layers, inspire, encourage the inquisitive mind
To visit Fuerteventura once agai
