Light and dark part four: holographA Story by ♪Barklight♪
Angeal stood uncertain in the doorway, the memory of what had happened earlier that day burned her to the bones. She didn't want to sleep. The dark, shadowed figure looming on her vision every time she closed her eyes. But eventually she gathered the courage to turn the light out, cross the room and climb into bed. She tucked the feather under her pillow, clinging to the small amount of peace and safety the gesture brought to her mind, and finally closed her tired eyes... She was back in the cathedral again, it was dark but light shone through the windows, illuminating them. Images flashed in the thousands in each panel, colour and light flickering and dancing. Angels standing on high as if ready to swoop down from the heavens. An ancient-looking picture of what looked like the grim reaper. A cold child sitting in the streets. An old lady sitting on her porch. All the while there were whispers of a thousand voices echoing around her through the pews and the foundations of the old church; "the harbinger", "the omen", "messenger", "Angeal! Angeal!" "harbinger!" "The omen!" They grew louder and louder, ringing in her ears, almost unbearably...
