A Chapter by Bardy

My dear Winston, the day marking the 50th anniversary of your passing has arrived. I've found many are so easy to point out your flaws. As if your flaws make you less of a man and less worthy of your life accomplishments. I believe it's these flaws that make you more of a man and human. You had to overcome those flaws to accomplish what you did. Thus proving we don't have to be perfect ourselves and no matter the obstacles we too can see greatness if we so desire. We currently stand free. However, I fear history is repeating itself in a new shade and such freedom is in jeopardy with each passing day. I must remind people whatever happens to us happens because we choose it to. You proved that all a free man has to do is simply try. Even when many doubted you from the beginning about Hitler in the 1930's and what many believed to be the impossible in the end to take him on and even defeating him. I shall study rhetoric while continuing to study your words and your life to overcome adversity in hopes of a better life not only for myself but the greater good of mankind. I long to meet you in the afterlife to share stories along with properly thanking you. Till then, continue resting in peace.
