Nothing less than home it feels

Nothing less than home it feels

A Poem by Barca

Bless be upon it, a squirrel disappearing up the tree

a Woodpecker echoing the forest's heartbeat

peaceful, healing harmony around

chaotic and disorderly yet still breaths

lost in itself, ignorant, innocent, indifferent

yet nothing less than home it feels

you want to dissolve in it

and losing yourself in its lostness

seems more kind than being lost inside your closed eyes

To escape life like cigarette smoke

slowly dissolving into a warm summer breeze

would be more kind than the numbness of nicotine

day after day

day after day

The squirrel leaves, and the Woodpecker hates itself

Yet the forest still breaths, and nothing less than home

it should feel.
