Dagger

Dagger

A Poem by Barbara Borel

Sometimes life takes you to the bowels of hell. Sometimes you're born there and it's all you know.

All you care to know because that is easier. A sea of blood is prettier.

If only everyone could see what I see. That life is no longer in color but a black and white film showing the same scene over and over.

Despite your efforts you can't turn back. The birds no longer chirp , there is no air for you. You don't deserve it.

Drown in your sorrow wallow in your pain. Stab me with one quick jab over and over again
