Bridge of a Thousand Tears

Bridge of a Thousand Tears

A Poem by Barbara Borel

Bye bye to all that was and all what shall be. The hopes and dreams I had for you and me.

I lived in a castle for a thousand years, and under the bridge was a thousand tears.

Sleepless nights and dreadful days, living in a loveless haze.

If life were to be sweet and kind to me, I would have left that castle long ago you see.

But as our lives were destined to be, the rejects and castaways to the dungeon we flee.

Die by day and rot by night. Away with all of you out of my sight!
