Cathedral

Cathedral

A Poem by Barbara Borel

You wandered into a loveless desert, absent and alone. Your beautifully sorrowful love all that was shown.

I fall in love with you again and again and each day is new. Our souls have traveled together, eternally of this it is true.

For not once have you given a glance to me not one stare. Of these fickle things you do not care.

I look in your eyes and see my soul looking back at me. From my own eyes it is your tears that flow can't you see?

Oh lovely lovely one say it is so, you will wander into the Cathedral with me and from my side you will never go.

This is gorgeous Barbara Borel.
I have to say I was captured by the title which also happens to be the title of a song I love by Tanita Tikaram (of the 1980s era) but the content was something entirely different not surprisingly.
Eloquent and ethereal but nada in the tacky-love dept. Just delicately flowing love poetry.
Excellent. This is right up my street.
