Face A Glow

Face A Glow

A Poem by Barbara Borel

You were in my dream last night, face a glow. Laughing and smiling so much happiness to show.

It seems so real I wanted to feel you near. But I woke up and in my heart was a bloody spear.

My waking hours are filled with doubt and confusion. Is my love for you all a mad delusion?

I fall asleep each night curling your long hair. This man who not once did I ever give a stare.

But the heart plays music in mysterious ways. It soothes and bewitches, it bends and sways.

So if you can only love me in my dreams ithat shall be. Forever in my heart you and me.
