The Fool

The Fool

A Poem by Barbara Borel

Ever so played as the fool once again. Ignorance is bliss. Close your eyes and hold your ears. Just turn the other cheek. To the obvious, the real, to reality. Why this constant damnation? Ignore and be slapped with the dead hand. Love is a pity, a waste. It leaves daggers in the heart. With bloody footsteps that lead to an empty shallow grave where you will have eternity to dwell, to think, to self-doubt and mock.why... In this life you choose to play the fool.
