Beautiful Hell

Beautiful Hell

A Poem by Barbara Borel

What is it that every girl wants to hear? Darling I'll keep you safe from your darkest fear.

Tell me you love me, press your lips to mine. Tell me you will love me until the end of time.

Walk a thousand miles to save my soul. Make my heart come alive before I grow too old.

I think that for me, love is cruel, cursed and hexed. Why am I growing old alone has kept me perplexed.

I fell in love once a few times in fact . My heart never able to be put back intact.

I think I am a gypsy a bohemian and Jezebel. Love and romance is only a beautiful journey to hell.

"Love and romance is only a beautiful journey to hell."

I just loved the passion in those lines. It's amazing how you brought out so many feelings and emotions in such a short poem, using such simple words. I loved it.

Keep writing! Cheers!
