Through a Red Light

Through a Red Light

A Poem by Barbara Borel

When the light turns green, people run. No one knowing what was done. But when the light turns red again, stop it's over. In my mind and mind again, I think of the time my heart bled. Then I saw your face and thought I was dead. The heart that broke once again. One day you will maybe mend. In my mind and mind again I think who is my friend ally or enemy. When the light turns green people run. In my mind and mind today I think of my soul that I left to play. Being happy having fun, but through that red light it had run. Now it's gone and gone for good that's why it's misunderstood. My soul had to go.
