Emancipation

Emancipation

A Poem by -Batata

I can not see.
I can not see!
Do not pity me, gentlemen!
I beg you not to!
I have now fled the inescapable,
Severed yet another bond with reality,
Ended the thralldom
that curled my wrists
for 20 years
20 years gentlemen!
I gouged my eyes and now
I can not see.
Rejoice, rejoice!
I am at last free.

Your poem is great Batata. You've described in poetic terms the escape from whatever is binding this woman?? and setting her free. Have you a specific situation in mind but it still works in the general.
All the best,
Alan
