Rebirth

Rebirth

A Poem by -Batata

Don't. It's too facile, too ordinary,
Rilke said.
In my quest for individuality,
In my probe towards perfection,
I abstained.
But tonight,
Tonight I confess to the blank
That, in you, my whole sank.
Tonight I mourn
The girl,
The forlorn being
That I have been
Before you touched my wretchedness,
Caressed my bare body.
A woman I have become,
Into being I have finally willed.
I was set ablaze
And then born anew,
A child of a filthy scene.

The title caught my eye because that is what I am all about. But the words themselfs? they totally deserve the title that they were given. I like the last line "A Child of a filthy scene" the best

Oh thank you ❤
Like the way, you paint this picture.
Set ablaze then born anew.
A child of a filthy scene.
Doesn't get any better than that.
