BATTLE FILLED RAINBOW

BATTLE FILLED RAINBOW

A Poem by Jason Baptiste

In the sky where a rainbow
Shaped like semicircle
Arched the different colors
Battles of each others
Fighting to control
Mythical pots of gold
From the skies blood had rained
Washing joy into pain
Red was fighting with blue
Green and yellow did to
Upon the lands where they've dropped
Black and white hadn't stop
Arrived a surprise they'll get
Immediately entered a purple sunset

Jason, this poem is so powerful and deep. You've remarkably conveyed struggle and strife with a "rainbow," something we traditionally view as peaceful and harmonious. So much meaning in your words. Nice work!
