HAPPENED TODAY

A Story by Jason Baptiste

Today i've been a host, as the pains of my passion paid me a visit. I felt like a tear that wears a smile.
I loved creating and performing music, yeah i still do. Provocation has devastated me internally, and i felt my life threatened from jealousy. So i thought its best to abandon the battle fields of egotism.
Without the knowledge, am i aware of the genuine appreciative, who was denied the opportunity to enjoy my purpose.
How can a gift of beauty, be wrapped with by a curse?
Today i've heard a wonderfully created piece of music, amazingly delivered, extremely touching that haunted me.
The sounds of my passion, through the windows of my ears, entered the rooms of my deafened soul, where the pains of my lost passion was resurrected.
