SO CLOSE YET SO FAR

SO CLOSE YET SO FAR

A Poem by Jason Baptiste

Across the street looks so near
Never spoken or even stared
Neighbors is their relations
Without any communications

Reasons why not revealed
Unfriendliness inside concealed
Nothing was ever shared
For each other no one cared

Waters so close to the lands
Separated by shores of sand
In the sky where two stars
Seams so close yet so far
