Never WasA Poem by Lenard L. Banks IIILove and lost
In the presence of a real woman my heart skips a beat, flabbergasted yet intrigued by her intelligent intensity, my ears locks to her every word that dances around my head like vibrant poetry, my tongue seized by cupids wrath, instead of showing my boyish like interests I applied my bravado mask, at last our paths pass and my heart was telling me to scream hey, hey! But I stood there in dumbfounded silence and watch that phenomenal woman walk away, the image of her model like face is lost in the past space of time, all I recall is her smile that’s forever walking on the runway of my mind, all other memories of her are more of a fuzz, but I will never ever forget the one that never was.
