Whispers of Freedom

Whispers of Freedom

A Poem by Mystical Ink
"

Poetic exploration of the essence of freedom—its quiet power, the pursuit of dreams, and the courage to embrace joy amidst challenges.

"

In the stillness of a quiet morning,

 Freedom whispers softly, without warning,

It's the rustle of leaves in a gentle breeze,

A symphony of choices, carried on wings of ease.

To be free is to dance in the rain,

To embrace joy, to feel no restrain,

It's the melody of laughter echoing wide,

In hearts unburdened, where dreams reside.

Do I feel free in this vast domain?

In the tapestry of joy and pain?

True freedom blooms in the soul's embrace,

In courage found, in every chase.

Independence Day, a sacred call,

To honor those who stood tall,

Their courage etched in history's page,

A beacon of hope, from age to age.

Let us treasure the legacy they defend,

Our freedoms, our rights, without end,

And pledge to keep the flame alight,

In the realm of freedom's flight.

This poem addresses two types of freedom. As the first stanza opens it speaks of natures freedom in the rustling of leaves and the breeze. This brings me into a sense of serenity and peace. Dancing in the rain and the melody of laughter brings one from nature to the personal. I loved the line "tapestry of joy and pain" In this stanza the introduction of courage that leads into a fight for freedom not just for oneself but for others as well. Here is the recognition of past heroes and homage to their sacrifice. Very well organized and with a consistent rhyme interspersed with some pleasing internal rhyme. Very nice.

I suppose we do tend to take our freedom for granted when we live in places untouched by war or tyranny. In such cases it’s imperative we keep our finger on the pulse on what is happening in the wider world and lend our support to those deprived of their freedoms through no fault of their own.

Your poem speaks to both individuals and nations of people as a whole. A brisk write with a flowing style of rhyming verse. I enjoyed the read.
