Now that you're dead

Now that you're dead

A Poem by Pallida mors
"

It sounds really childish lol, oh well

"

I'm caressing your cheek
But I know you're
not sleeping, I know...
Your taking one last gasp
Into the air
And I laugh
'Cause I know...
That you're dying...

Now that you’re dead
I’ll remember the smile from when we first met
Now that you’re dead
I won’t feel the blame you inflicted
Now that you’re dead
I can save the good memories in my head

Now that you’ve died
You’re still alive
Inside my heart
Where you haven’t lied
Lying in your grave,
Frozen in time,
You can’t hit me
You can’t make me cry

I'll erase you from my bed,
Forgive what you said.
Because you're gone,
you'll never hurt me again
Now that you’re dead
I have something left
Things you didn't kill
I'll remember instead

Now that you’re dead, I can forget

Happily depressed haha, don't ask me what that means, the people who know me best know what it means. A little odd - but hey, who else is going to write you a story for your birthday?!?!?!?! more..
