Feeding Sharks BreadcrumbsA Poem by Bane
I find myself alone
The ground beneath me my home I blaze a trail that few will follow This trails goes no where The crumbs I drop to lead me back To a place I dare not tread Not to friendly faces Not to warm embraces Aren't memories suppose to bring A smile and not suffering This concept is all but lost to me A distance island in the sea No chart made to plot my course No maps or tools Only remorse How can I find a place called home My ship has sunk I'm treading water all alone Is it wrong to defy rescue To pray for sharks and typhoons A blissful squawl to drag me down Is it peaceful just to drown To be swallowed by a Megladon Or some mystic Leviathan Slit my wrists and let it flow Lure the creatures from below And smile as I become lost Unknown © 2014 Bane |
