Ride The LightningA Poem by Bane
Living a life at disconnect
My synapses fire blind Trapped in a midnight scirmish My battlefield My mind A singular chemical tracer Fired into the dark Lost in abyssal blackness No receptor to catch the spark I am a wreckless genius My thoughts are all but here My words spew fourth with passion My intentions never clear I ride fourth on my own lightning Followed by thunder close The thought of capture frightening Then my lightning becomes a ghost The illusion to live forever To never be captured in a jar And bottle up the lightning Only leaves me scarred And left wishing I had trapped it To share and show the world But how can you contain that magic Have it managed and controlled © 2014 Bane |
