The MachineA Poem by Bane
I am not a sheep
I am not a drone I speak when you are speechless I stand when you are prone I may not make a difference And you may never know The things I have uncovered Things not meant to show This machine is built around us We are the grease between the gears Faceless pawns of giants Soulless herds of steer To learn is to be forgotten Just know what you are fed Never be curious Never live and then you're dead This world is your classroom Ask questions Search and learn Don't waste the chance you're given Or you will lose your turn Don't be a mindless puppet Question those who be Take hold of the comet And lead the blind to see Blaze a trail for those to follow So the lost may be lead Don't live a life so hollow If you do, you're already dead I am not a sheep I am not a drone I speak when you are speechless And I am not alone © 2013 BaneFeatured Review
