Anxious

Anxious

A Poem by Bane

My body hurts

My muscles tense

Tired of this circumstance

Lift the weight from me now

Relax my nerves

Unfurl my brow

Breathe in

Breathe out

Release the pain

Release the doubt

Be free of all anxiety

Release your hold inside of me

My mind is racing

My heart is dancing

Beating faster

Never slow

Trying to not let it show

No one understands this state

The walls are up

Locks on the gate

Breathing slower

Deeper now

My eyes are closed

I must find how

To stop this from consuming me

Controlling me

And everything

Wow, you never cease to amaze me. This is another piece of yours that flows so naturally, once again. You've captured anxiousness very, very well. I loved the line "Release your hold inside of me", it really created a powerful, vivid picture in my mind. Another great poem!
