Pandora

Pandora

A Poem by Bane

The scream of silence

Deafens my ears

Forced words

I don’t need to hear

Of love lost

And love found a new

Polluting my brain

Left without a clue

What do I say

What do I think

A broken glass

With nothing to drink

I feel so empty

I feel so alone

Bound and gagged

In a burning home

This is my fate

I made it myself

Inevitable pain

Left of the shelf

Waiting to be found

And dusted off clean

Alone in a room

For no one to see

Waiting to end me

And destroy all that’s good

I won’t escape it

Even if I could

This fate is my own

I made it myself

But I forgot it

Alone on that shelf
