Hyde

Hyde

A Poem by Bane

There's a side of me
I do not know
Of his name
Or where he goes
He takes
He hurts
With no remorse
A wake of pain
And he's the source
I hate it when I see his his face
In glass and mirrors
Every place
He consumes loves
And excretes hate
My unknown half
Is my shame
He took from me
My queen
My muse
Set the charge and lit the fuse
I could have stopped him if I tried
Cowardly, I just stood by
I let this beast destroy my life
I just stood by
Watched and cried
Now she's gone
And I'm alone
I always lied and said I'm fine
Deferring attention with every line
These things I should have stopped
Before it all was lost
But now she's gone
A piece of me
In my dreams
Her face, I see
And in my dreams she'll always be
