We Focus on our Faults

We Focus on our Faults

A Poem by Bandersnach

Don't let cruel words prick your heart!

You are so much more than what they say!

      You are...

More exciting than the last day of school,

More inspirational than a deaf man's symphony,

More hilarious than a swearing nun,

More curious than a monkey with fingerpaints,

More touching than a groom's gaze at his entering bride,

More beautiful than the last "I love you" before you die.

                                    Knowing all this..

Why is it that the cruel words are foremost in your mind?

wow that is so true. We focus on the negative in life. I really like the construction of this poem and how it all builds up to that very important question. :)

i like the design the reverse escalation and then a flat line. It is how the world works though we are a negative society and we hold those things closest perhaps due to our want of perfection. What makes us flawed is what we focus on. Good piece and i love the bit about the swearing nun. ^^

Not much to say about me except that writing is the only thing that I'm half-capable of doing. I realized this when a college professor exclaimed that "you are an excellent rhetoric!" and, of course, .. more..
