I woke up much earlier than I usually do, and this poem came to me while I was enjoying the sunshine and the sound of the world waking up. It is very rough, and I'm sure I won't be as pleased with it in twenty-four hours as I am now, but I am rather fond of it. As always, any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Well I am fond of this litte poem as well. I find there is great delight to be found in the ordinary and everyday. I also find simplicity in writing often works best for these subjects. Both are incorporated beautifully, along with a wonderful playfulness that making it just charming and enjoyable to read. Oh, I almost forgot, it also has a nice little rhythm to it, kinda catchy.
I can relate--as I am actually listening to the birds now as I sip my coffee. It explores the multi-dimensional aspects of the narrator. Not long, but I could write an interpretation of it; there is "more than meets the eye." I dig it.
i like this poem. it's cute and refreshing and yes very relatable... how sometimes waking up earlier than expected can reveal beautiful things.
the only thing that tripped me up was the line
"enjoying the cool air of early June" - as the meter seemed a teensy bit off. when i read it out loud it just seems like emphasis or syllabyls were not flowing as nicely as the other lines.
if anything i'd rewrite that slightly.
but otherwise i thought it was very good... especially considering i usually don't like rhyming poems.
A cute, small but peaceful poem, it reminds me of the little ditties you often get in illustrated storybooks that are written to warm the soul. It's small and dainty and eloquent. I love the light-hearted feel of it, like a fresh morning breeze. Once again, you've written it fantastically.
the real poet can write just so, like you did, something comes into your mind and it is just right and you write it down and that's it... I like how you write about enjoying your day and how you breathe the nature around you. I also bow every morning to my sun god. I like this spirituality which came to me with this poem. It's a sweet promise.

I don't want to be the next big writing sensation. I don't want to be listed as a New York Times bestseller. I don't want to make a lot of money from my writing. I don't want my books to be read and d.. more..
