Pick Me, oh, Pick MeA Poem by Don't just B, but B amazing!A poem about writing my first manuscript and querying agents. I think I may actually refine this and use it as a query, ha ha."Pick Me, oh, Pick Me" Born an idea, a thought in my mind, my mind grabbed a pen, and began to unwind. The idea was a fiction of thrilling suspense, if I'm forced to stop writing I surely will wince. Ink flowing and flowing, as the idea keeps growing, The next thing I know 51,000 words were just flowing. Flowing from my pen, writing as if I was living within. Within this now story, feeling all it's emotions, although it is fiction, there are no magic potion's. Now the pen stopped, my ink flow has halted, time for review, about to be verbally assaulted. It's my first time, do what? Write a query, At first try it's lame, actually quite scary. STOP, SIT, and THINK, my idea, was it great? So then this query it must be greater, how bad do I want to be the next, mighty mental masterbater? I re-read the query, and laugh it's so dreary, edit, and edit, I MUST achieve perfection, positively push this pen to my goal, just one direction. I have to make it scream, stand out in a crowd, if I want my Times New Roman, 12 pt to be found. My idea can not die in a slush pile, just drowned. So this query I'm fast learning, must mean more than my idea that's yearning. So more work, and more work, I change and erase, my first query must slap an agent in the face. Must grab them and tell them, my idea they must see, my query MUST scream, Pick Me, oh, Pick Me! -BB Don’t just B, but B amazing! YouTube Don’t just B, but B amazing!
