Sort of a dark truth poem, which ends with a challenge to be optimistic in life. Just as you all, I love to hear opinions, good or bad. Thanks for reading!

I love that the theme of pessimism is portrayed throughout this poem until the very end when optimism is introduced. I did not expect it! This made the poem very enjoyable, love a good ending! I found the rhyming effective. Dark writing is somehow very appealing to me, I suppose because it always seems to be more honest- thank you for suggesting that I read this.

Hey, it has a wonderful uplifting message and is very clever. I think it is wonderful. You are so right and we should all listen to your message; very relateable. Great job. Keep writing.
Amazing! Has a little bit of everything ( humor, sadness, hope, etc.) This is a really good poem. Makes you not want to waste any time and do something productive! I especially know the pain of a death ( Much like everyone else ) but this is an inspiring poem :)
At the funeral of a friend last Saturday morning the pastor said "In sure and certain hope
of the resurrection to eternal life, through our lord Jesus Christ, we commend the almighty
God our brother, and we commit his body to the ground, earth to earth, ashes to ashes,
dust to dust" Then, while looking straight at me, he said of an appointment that we will
not be late for.
certainly an eye opening poem my friend..well done. dana

WOW, I'm deeply sorry about the loss of your friend, the pastor was definitely right about that one,.. read moreWOW, I'm deeply sorry about the loss of your friend, the pastor was definitely right about that one, we surly wont be late. All the more reasons to "think" out our actions before acting, because while we may never be late. We sure do not want to show up early. My prayers are with you all.
Such a great message in this one B.
It's mind over matter I suppose, life deals us some tough ones but we get back up and push forward.
Having good friends and family can sometimes make a big difference too.

Nice poem Mr. Brain. Especially the ending. You have to keep a challenging everyone. People with pessimistic mind never take the opportunity to show what are they capable of. Death is inevitable task that everyone must follow. Dont let your soul regret once the body cannot move. I have also seen your vids and they are really good

Your welcome. And Merry Christmas and have wonderful new year
Hey, BB, I hope you had a good Christmas. This reminded me of two related pieces of creative expression, one, the Shakespearean adage/quote “The day we're born is the day we begin dying.” Two, Tim McGraw's song 'Live like you're dying.' Both hold a fundamental truth, much like your poem which claims, every moment spent dying, is a moment lost of living. I love the concept behind this, and I like many (I would think) would love to live by this motto, but living is indeed harder than dying. I hope you are blessed with this ability, and I, like others will continue to aspire to reach such heights.

Thank you so much, and I CHALLENGE you and hope you do LIVE life too!
Strange, I don't find this to be dark at at, but very inspiring. Life is indeed a series of little deaths. The trick is knowing when to hold on and when to let go. Well done, BB.
Your heart tells you what is real, I can see that. Learn from the hard times. Avoid taking the steps that lead into them but be mindful that some will always be unavoidable. Continue to walk the path of optimism, let your darkness always inspire you to seek light ;)
