MotherA Poem by ......It’s a very sunny day The conversations of birds are herd in the background A few clouds are hovering above A small little girl with bright red hair and a pale white face is found in her home She walks out from her small bedroom towards the living room On the couch lays her mother Her mother also has long bright red hair But her mother looked different then she usually does Her face is so pale and the tips of her fingers are blue The little girl is very hungry She walks towards her mother lying on the couch hoping that she will make her food This little girl is only two years old She calls out her mother’s name yet no response She then tries waking her with her hands by nudging her Still no response, no movement The little girl is startled by the thunder, a storm is drawing near Shortly after rain comes crashing down Or was it snow? The wind starts to pick up And the sun is now in disguise The little girl crawls up towards her mother’s cold body Wanting the comfort and the warmth and happiness her mother used to give her when she was awake Tears fall from the little girl She such in a panic to wake her mother up because she is scared She doesn’t know what’s wrong; but she does now something is wrong The front door opens and the cold outdoors in brought in with the little girl’s father The father sees his little girl lying beside his wife’s motionless body The little girls sister start to cry from her crib The whole house now has a dark sensation to it The light then goes out because the storm cut out the power But still the street lights stay on, but they are flickering The little girl’s father rushes over towards his wife He puts his hand on her chest and the other on her wrist I then see him collapse to the ground he hasn’t let go of my mother’s hand at all But now is holding it tighter He lets out a shriek of pain and agony He then starts to cry none stop he looks at me with sorrow and pain in his eyes I then know and realize what had happen that night He didn’t say anything for sometime I walk over towards him hugging him And we both shared our pain with each other This is all I remember after this point The last things after this moment is of myself standing at the window with my little sister Watching the police talk to my father And the ambulance taking away MY mother And then once the ambulance left and my father left with the police The streets lights then unlit themselves as well And the whole street was dark and cold And death was surely in the air A motherless child Sonly to be followed by a parentless child An orphan
