Faerytale

Faerytale

A Poem by Snookered
"

Something I wrote in a little under a minute, haha

"

I live in pop-up books

and drink tea made from pure cane sugar
My days are short
my naps are long
and I have no worries because
I can exist here forever
The trees sway with my movements
and I can make up any dance I want
because my time here is infinite
Nobody knows I exist here
no one, in fact, knows that I exist
I'd never have it any differently
Thinking about anything bigger than me
makes me dizzy
so the trees are never taller than my height
Even giraffes, the poor things
can barely reach my knees
If I sit cross-legged, and if I squeeze my eyes shut
I can almost see them
All those in history books and science journals
Living out the possible, the real
and the already been there, already done that
But I, don't live anywhere near them
I, sit in summer breezes and sigh
because there is nothing sweeter
than sugar cane tea
and the setting sun behind the mountains
in a world of my own

Author's Note

Snookered
Just looking mostly for form. I've been told I have a great way of wording things but the technical stuff like line breaks and punctuation choice could sometimes be corrected
