Worthy of too much loving

Worthy of too much loving

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

How can I survive here with no real horizon
Only the hungry ocean, of my soul
Filling me with lighthouse gaze
I am a simple man, with enclosed offerings.

These years elapse with words
That sift for someone like you
melodious mistress, daughter of sun
Just give me your hand once, I’ll seal it

Upon the open sea, where spirits
Rushes to the mountain-tops, and flows down
back with the melting snow and honest rivers

Where Sirens cry for harbored lights
To be an ordinary woman
With hearrth and common labors
Until, your wild spirit unleashes

Should return, from where you came
How can I live here without you,
It’s too late to give my heart
To those who would remain a secret

I need someone intimate, worthy
to put me in my decency
One of my very own kind,
Who else other than you?
