Humanity I Love You

Humanity I Love You

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu
"

I would rate this as one of my best works...

"
Humanity I love you
Not for smartness and prejudice
but for for your innocence and selfishness
Not how We evade our soul via success.

Humanity I adore you
for still breeding the jewles and soils
where love weighs over money
truth over the shadows of hypocrisy.

Humanity I like you
for teaching how life can be free and beautiful.
Not for the greed that poisones men's souls,
and the barricades of hate.

Humanity I am enchanted for you
Of how you bring art into our wretched lives
and not for knowledge that makes us cynical;
our cleverness, hard and unkind.

Humanity I love you
For wheezing those ethics of living,
where living is by each other's happiness,
and not by each other's misery.

With songs containing the words
of mankind, of spirituality
Human I love you
But not for your lust-flushed pride.

Human I love you for all that you stand
Not the delirious wars you create
But for brotherhood and equality
Its how you shine, with your luscious colors

Humanity I will fight for you
as a young spirit, not as a old soul
with antiquated ideals and morals,so divine.

Indeed, I imagine it loves you back in equal measure, a very well written piece.

Usually, I hate humanity with a passion. Sometimes, I'm indecisive. But this amazing piece has kindled by rarely-voiced thoughts of how creative and loving and enchanting humanity can be. :)

I suppose it's impossible to truly see the good in something without ever seeing the bad...

I love this. Humanity differs from person to person, but you have captured both sides of the spectrum. Instead of saying that you hate the human race because of its greed and lust, you look into the soul of humanity and find that at its center, there is a child-like love. Excellent poem.
