June Reminisce

June Reminisce

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

For what purpose July
have you returned again?
with the buckets of your drizzle and rainstorms
The watery constraints of the air.

Have you come to fill my life with essential jubilation,
to fill my nullity with sun's warmth
the quantum physics of calefaction
Hopes whisper loudly, fields will light up again.

The green fertility, its among-st us
Such is the sense-less prattling
Of the winds, of sprinkled weeds
Time will regrow from the very sands
it was buried in.

Farewell, my beloved June
Let your traffic of souls be merry
Aimless woes and needless dying
will bury your presence again.

With the desperation of varying glories
Let conquered palaces be forsaken,
for spirituality to hold ourselves with her immortality.

the quantum physics of calefaction -- Anyone who can use this line in a poem about the seasons deserves a big pat on the back :)

Another great "seasonal" piece. I love to write the seasons...there is so much beauty in the changing of weather, which is essential to the changing of our mortal moods. "Fairwell, my beloved June"--indeed. For there is a new month on the horizon with its own set of beautiful notes to capture.
