Those last poems

Those last poems

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

Those were the last poems
where a life was lost, never to return again
where a heart was drowned,
in eternal ambiguity.

To fall into infinite silence
The passion of suicides
the scorching woes.
The anemic offerings,not easily embraced

As those days met their end
And the purity of the flame flickerd out
We tasted a smile, false and bleak
till you hid from the aisle.

To measure the evasion from poetry,
For a tear less sob of pain and misery
in the rain soft and sweet
But I never said goodbye
I promised to,may be,stay alive.
