Our narrowness makes us bleak
with passing years
The past when we were eminent
We fled into each other, for a time
Divided by mortal traits
We walk, towards endless seas
Without choice, beneath the common tide
The world swallowed us up
The stream of love had mountains to crack
And life to regrow out of nothing
The quantum choices of evolution
You cling to me for survival
With every fallen petal of our youth
A bit more autumn sprouts in
I still bemoan inside for you
But you, still with absent ears for me
I am faded rainbow for you
but you still lurk in my uncertain shore
where my feelings starve
yet they treasure a thousand more reasons to live.
