Since We Are SeparatedA Poem by Balkaran SidhuSince we are separated by geometry and your persiacacity of dreams I could only confess in my poems I have loved you more than my own breath. I should tell you about those morning moments when I realize I have loved you always More than the essential nutrients More than the air that fills me with life. We were the unique lovers once promising to make our love eternal but our eternity lasted only to the edge of our cradle. Our love was not some earthly adulation as I see it,was never a burden I wanted us to envy the lovers I wanted the marriage of souls. After all those heartbreaks I still love you You have crayoned yourself as the core of my heart I was never an artist. I wish you to be in my life again I would replace my self with immateriality You only can wash the clouds of loneliness And could fill my life with melodious hymns Love is our home I beg you to return here In the passionate backyard of our artistry where I would surrender my self to you.
