The Desire Of A Poem

The Desire Of A Poem

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

I want to become the greatest of poems
forever praising your beauty
An Ode to our parallel infinity.
I want to become the humblest of your servants
and say forever..I love you
How long, until our last breath?
I want to be the air of your throat
to be molded into honeyed words
and the aura that breathes on your fragrance.

Dear friend, eye-witness to my pain?
I submit my liability as evidence
Of my longing for your heart.

What is exalted evidence
If not to become beloved
To share intimacy, both pure and true.

I want to become the humblest of your thoughts
As a morning that remembers you
As the light that embraces you even in the infinite darkness.

Love's longing ... speaking of its sincerity ... and looking forward to the day of consummation. So near yet so far away. Lovely.

Hi Balkaran ,
an awesome write so much so that every female will think
that this poem is written in her honor a real dream come
true for every woman/ girl because this piece of work shows
extreme depth of love and devotion for her and only her
( How lucky she must be ) * winking/ smiles )
A great treat to read for every member of this cafe....

I want to become the greatest of poems ...do mean 'poems' here or poets? cuz that can change some meaning here but not the whole piece...anyway certain that this is a very loving expression

So beautiful... These words are what every woman longs to hear from a man. The vulnerability and laying down of swords, as it were, at our feet. We want the knight in shining armor, but we also want the knight to take off that armor and speak to us as this poem speaks. I like the metaphor, and in reading, this is fabulous. Great tempo...I liked it.
